Education nowadays represents one of the biggest global problems. Since the objectives of the society are frequently contradictory we can observe different outcomes of the educational process. Education today has the task to ensure a global, wide view of the society and its goals in times when the media become increasingly more dominant factor of socialization. In order to achieve education that is functional and well adapted to the necessities of the time, it must defend the idea of general culture. All discrepancies of the contemporary education fuse, overlap and reflect in education, while the importance of the media considering the development of social identity becomes implacably prevalent. Education remains a generator of changes although it cannot provide changes by its mere existence, especially if it does not adjust the thymos so characteristic of the media to its own prerogatives and involve the media in the realization of educational imperatives. In the postmodern era of interconnected society and the progressive time of scientific and technological revolution that makes the foundations for global economy, education itself and knowledge itself remain the key factors regarding establishment of social mobility and development of global society.
