/in (Lack Of) Culture /by Kcs21blAAThis work analyses the relationship between media and education, especially the possibilities of developing the media culture and literacy in institutional education. In the process of developing media culture and literacy, schools have a very important role being the basic educational institutions which are expected to lead a planned and systematic action with the aim of achieving the best effects of media education. In order to find out in which ways schools develop media culture and literacy, what potentials can schools use to develop these processes and if there is a difference in attitudes of students depending on their gender, we have analyzed the attitudes of primary school pupils. The work explains the results of an extensive research implemented on the sample of 142 pupils attending primary schools on the City of Niš territory. The results have confirmed that there is no statistically significant difference between the attitudes of male and female students concerning the school milieu as a favorable environment for development of media culture and literacy, within both teaching process and extracurricular activities.
URBAN LIGHTING: MONOCHROMATIC AND DYNAMIC LIGHTING
/in Narratology /by Kcs21blAAThe night impression of a city, including both the feeling of security and attractiveness, is greatly influenced by lighting. Since the urban night image is created by a variety of illuminated urban elements (streets, buildings, bridges, parks, etc), coordination is necessary in order to achieve a harmonious urban nightscape. A lighting masterplan is a strategic document through which such coordination can be achieved. Even though lighting technology offers endless possibilities for creative illumination, the achievement of attractive light effects by applying monochromatic or dynamic lighting is not an easy task. An inadequate application of monochromatic lighting or aggressive dynamic lighting conspicuously degrades the illuminated buildings and their immediate (and sometimes wider) surroundings.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF APOCALYPSE IN THE DISCOURSE OF MASS MEDIA
/in Studies /by Kcs21blAAThe paper tackles the discourse of mass media, which is becoming more aggressive in an attempt to transform even the banal news into sensational ones. As the images of violence, misfortune and death become more explicit, and people are informed about a number of pending catastrophes, media consumers increasingly seem to feel anxiety and fear, speculating about the predictions which might actually come true. The paper also features a research which explores the scope of the influence of mass media on the everyday life of the media consumers in Serbia.

/in E-Libraries /by Kcs21blAAIn this article the author uses the results of a thesis concerning transformation of the Interlibrary Loan and Document Supply in a line of transformation of communication in the system of science to analyse interaction between information technologies, adequate models of scientific communication and corresponding changes in Interlibrary Loan and Document Supply. Document Supply is understood as a specific structure of scientific information and documents, fundamental but hidden, whose evolution, parallel to evolutions of some other structures of information and documents, of which eight is allocated in contemporary theory (Brown, 1996), is monitored from the very beginning of this activity till today.
